Ecofect 2019 Workshop

logo ecofectEcofect 'Eco-evolutionary dynamics of infectious diseases' is one of the 12 LabEx (Laboratory of Excellence) financed through the 'Investissements d'Avenir' framework programme of the French government and supported by the University of Lyon.

Ecofect promotes interdisciplinarity to understand how global changes favour the (re)emergence of infectious diseases and to define innovative strategies to better manage future sanitary crises using understandings of populations and communities' ecology and evolution studies.

Workshop' objectives

The main objective of the conference is to provide an inspiring interdisciplinary dialogue between scientists and to strengthen the links between the different disciplines for an integrated understanding of infectious diseases.

In addition to plenary conferences from leaders in the field of experimental evolution (see the speakers' list), this conference aims at bringing invited speakers and participants together for some roundtable discussions.

The workshop will take place at the Rooftop 52, on the 5th floor of a building with modern architecture at the heart of the confluence area of Lyon. The astonishing 360° view on Lyon's emblematic monuments will bring a special atmosphere to the workshop.
